Remember when I used to write almost every day?
Yeah, those were good days.
What happened? Hm. I have no idea. Let's back track and talk about the summer though. This summer has been incredibly different.
I moved back home when school ended, it was difficult. I was so used to being with my friends constantly, then to move home and be around family sometimes? Yeah, that was a change. I started working 35-40 hours a week which really helped. If I didn't have my job I would have been very bored this whole summer.
When I wasn't working I would be at home, at the library, reading, or occasionally playing with Audra. She is so very Lovely. She works at the Charleston with me and I probably would have had an even more challenging summer without her. Love her. Okay, except when she leaves for weeks at a time for vacations. Who does that? I mean, I never did!
On the First of July, my brother came home. It was such a neat experience. He's different, yet still the same. Now a day, we hang out often, it's fun. He spoke in our ward and did a great job. I've gone to many farewells and a few homecomings. It's neat to see my friends leave and come back after two years of being away from their loved ones.
For the rest of the summer we have Italians coming to stay with us for a few weeks. Also, in about two weeks we are going to Lake Powell. I am so excited. I'm ready for a vacation where I will have no cell service. I think those are the best ones. Personally.

I went to the temple this morning.
I want to write, but every time I start nothing comes to mind. Just empty thoughts, filled with emotions that I can't seem to describe. I don't know how to scribe the ideas in my head.
I'll try again tomorrow.

Fairy tales are not always happy.
They do not always end up with a kiss and vow.
Often they are just a side road to the true story in ones life.
Therefore find your true story, let it change you, or change it yourself.

Smooth out the wrinkles of the day.
Even when it gets nice and toasty in my room at night... I sleep with Five blankets, Three pillows, and a jacket. Sometimes not all. My pillow pet often ends up on the floor. Blankets and pillows are great, yeah. I wanted to talk about something different, though. This picture was fun to play with, but let's think. All of these things seem to have one thing in common, comfort.
Doctrine and Covenants 38:7 reads, "But behold, verily, verily, I say unto you that mine eyes are upon you. I am in your midst and ye cannot see me;"
As much comfort as blankets can give, I know the comfort of the spirit of the Lord tops it. There is no greater. Sometimes days come and go too quick to think. Bad things happen, and we let ourselves falter. I know that in my life, I get caught up in the little things and don't realize how truly amazing and great this life is. I know that we can still seek the comfort of the Lord, we can still be near him and feel of his love, even in our hard times.
Advice is hard to take from yourself. However, this is my advice that I Can take and have begun to work on more diligently. My advice is this, Read your scriptures and Pray as often as you can. It can change not only your day, but the way you react to difficult to not so difficult tasks.

Take a walk.
A walk down memory lane. That's exactly what I did today. I took a trip down to the storage room, originally to find all of my poems so I could start compiling them, and found myself in that room for an hour or so reading notes and notebooks and staring at pictures of old friends. It scared me, gave me the chills, made me laugh, tear up, it was surprising.
Journals from the past. Writings that still tell truth. Some words betray their meanings. Images from past times. Laughing, big smiles, making memories. Now they feel different. Bitter sweet that is.
That walk is a reminder.
Of what, I don't know yet.
I'll figure that out later.
I choose, now, to forget.

I apologize for my absence
Let's not talk about how bad I've been with writing on here...
Instead, let's take a trip to my phone and take a gander at all of what I've been doing!
Second star to the right and straight on to my the photos icon!
