"Have fun tomorrow!"

First things first. This past week was CRAZY. Second.. This post is going to be a bit long.

It started with Monday. I took some quick pictures of my cute sister and her friend, then went with my mom to drop off the kids at EFY, since we were in Provo she dropped me off at 7 Peaks to meet up with Holly and new friend Sam. 7 Peaks was a blast. It was a hot day, so being in the water was fun. Afterwards we went to Sam's house. He made food for us. It was Reeeal good. Holly then took me to my house and stayed a little bit. We had some of my cousins over for pizza.

Tuesday my dad and I woke up at the crack of dawn and hopped in the car. We drove for roughly 12 hours. You see.. my dad is slightly insane. In a good way of course. He bought a boat which was in California, Northern area, so we went to pick it up. Duh. He also decided to try and sell one of our puppies on the way, why not? We ended up selling the puppy and picking up the boat. Then we went to a family friends house and went out to dinner with him.

Wednesday we woke up at 4:00AM and started the drive back home. We had to be back for a BBQ at grandpas. We made a stop for gas and breakfast, McDonalds. It was so good. Then I think we made another stop for gas. I can't really remember. It was such a quick trip! We rolled into Lehi around 4 I think. The food was great, so was the company. We have cousins from Georgia visiting for a month or so. I didn't really realize it was the 4th or July.

Thursday I slept in quite a bit to try and catch up from lack of sleep from the California trip. Grandma picked me up around 12:30 and took me to Costa Vida for lunch! We both Love Costa Vida. When I got home my mom and I decided to go to D.I. in Sandy after hearing about how they often have lots of books. We came home with.. maybe a little more than just books.. On our way home we stopped by Orange Leaf. As soon as I got home I helped Dallin clean the basement for friends to come over. Friends came over, ping pong was played, a movie was watched. And then.. mom called me from upstairs to say the dog had gotten out, I ran upstairs and we drove around for about a half hour until we saw her silhouette bolt across Canyon road into a field. Srsly?! Once we got back with the dog Sierra had a friend over. Naturally I joined them and chatted away while making chocolate chip banana bread (more like cake, but it was so good). Then I finally went to sleep.

Friday is kind of a blur to be honest. I do remember meeting up with my extended family on my moms side at In-N-Out. It was tasty. While we were there I got to see my cousins from San Diego! That was fun. Afterwards we headed to grandmas for Strawberry Shortcake. Dad and I left early so he could take the new boat to have someone double check everything (since we're going to Lake Powell), and so I could go to work. I worked a night shift, it didn't seem too long.

Saturday I got back from work at 7am and slept. I had planned to do something with Audra once I woke up. However, when I went upstairs my mom informed me of yet Another extended family dinner that night. OH my heavens. I know, that was the fourth one of the week. So I got ready and made sure I had all of my work things. Dinner was great. There's never a dull moment with us. Dad and I left early again, Ha ha! I went to work, it was a little slower that night.

Sunday I came home from work at 7am and slept. This time I slept later than I planned. When I woke up I talked with my family and idk. Didn't really do much. I took a shower and got ready for the day. Then I packed for Lake Powell. We're leaving right when I get home from work. And now here I am.. at work. My shift is a little more than half way over!!

I'm more than excited for this trip. Almost one full week without work? Yeah.. I'm down with that.. I guess it's time to email missionaries and organize my itunes. I've got a list of things to do tonight. :) Oh and Sierra is my best friend, I love her.

If you got through this whole thing, good work.

Get ready for pictures after this next week..

I made bread.

I learned how to make bread.

While mom was making cookies.

Part of it was kind of hard.

I am now domestic.

Sunsets Worth Seeing.

I've been emotional lately. Not the girl kind of emotional. The kind where every little piece of life gets to you. The things you've done wrong, the people you should let go of, the choices you have to make, the way you look, how you treat others, how you act around others, how you hide who you really are, etc. The kind where you're quiet and reserved, yet beating yourself up inside.
Sometimes life is hard. But we need the hard to see the good in it all. The real question is, how much more crap do we have to get through till we see that good that everyone Raves about.
No worries, I have hope it'll come. Sooner or Later. Who knows.

Supposed to be.

It's supposed to be the conversations, through text, that never end.
Switching which house you hang out at each day.
Knowing what snack foods you like to get at the gas station.
It's being in the mood to listen to the exact same music in the car.
Skipping out on a fun night with boys for a movie/junk food night.
It's supposed to be knowing when the other is seemingly upset.
Knowing when to say something and when to not.
It's caring about the other, like a sister/brother.
Here's what it's not, it's not having multiple days go by without talking.
Forgetting we had actual plans, and flaking to go hang with someone else.
It's not coming back after a while with an uncomfortable feel.
Or feeling weird talking about certain aspects of life.

Sometimes I don't know what friendship is.
But I do think I know a little of what it's supposed to be.

She likes movies, I like books. We're okay with it.

I talk to her about life, she updates me on hers as well. When I'm down in the dumps I shoot her a text, it's sort of first instinct. I met her about two years ago and she has been such a blessing to me. I hope you all have a best friend just like this one, if not. I highly recommend you go get one.
(I do realize it's not as easy as it sounds to just go "Get one", but anyway..)

Titles are overrated Anyway.

Awkward:
Put on sweats and it takes you an hour and a half to realize they are backwards.
Switch laundry at work, start the washers and forget the dryers.

Broken:
Hearts, glass, and shades of gray, etcetera.

Defeated:
That person, in that country, who I'm definitely not thinking about.
Why the heck do I do this to myself?

Relieved:
The minute after a 12 hour night shift has ended.
When you finally finish that last mile, sweat glistening, music blasting.

Odd:
Your room is a quiet haven.
I wish that just for now I could sleep.

Thought-full:
Wondering who is real, and who is fake.
Does she even care about who I am, really?

What?
Ok.

Hey dad

(Look! It's all matchy matchy with my mothers day post picture!)

Dear Dad,
Thank you for everything. You're the best dad in the world. I love your humor, your jokes. I enjoy all of the talks that we have, you always have so much to say, so much input. I'm grateful for the example you are in my life.
Happy fathers day! I love you more than a bajillion packages of sour patch watermelon's.

Your Favorite Daughter,
                     Jerrica C. Osmun
